CHATEAU LA VERRIERE
Château La Verriére has a history of survival. In the 19th century, it was completely destroyed by phylloxera. Since the 1960s, the vineyard was completely reconstructed, from replanting grape varieties, to drainage of the entire plantation. Château La Verriére was given new life in the late 1990s when Alain Bessette took over the estate from his father. Alain expanded and modernised the Château as well as putting in a new underground barrel cellar, bottling and package equipment. Today, the estate is 60 hectares and has all the modern winemaking facilities - including a temperature control system, a pneumatic press system and micro-oxygenation.
